Don Bosco (LOURDU SHRINE) at Madurai was started in 1975. It provides the youth receive all-round formation like religious, social, physical, educational, interpersonal – by making use of the groups and movements. It helps them to mature in their vocation as lay people, and concentrates on correcting the youth who are victims of alcohol and drugs and initiate in them a process of purification and order

Lack of awareness among the people on social issues.

Intervention
The school gears up good education for 1000 children and the night study centre provides opportunities for 200 students to study better.

Providing social awareness program to the people of the parish in 5 substations.
The Need
Formation and building up of people groups.
Night study centers should intensify its operations.
Comprehensive literacy program for the boys.
Self help groups of women should be started in all the streets of the parish.
