The Vision priorities
Don Bosco schools in the Salesian Province of Tiruchy will aim at the integral education of their pupils following the method of Don Bosco, which is based on the Christian vision of the human person, of life and of the world. It enables youth to be active agents of social transformation.
The Mission priorities
Foster the over all growth and maturity of their pupils primarily by helping each pupil to Discover and improve his/her physical, intellectual emotional gifts, and developing his/her ethical sensitivity and the sense of the transcendent.
Teach each pupil to appreciate cultural values through an expo sure to our Indian cultural heritage.
Create social awareness by emphasizing liberty, justice, solidarity and peace so that they may become agents of social transformation.
Instill religious values to help our pupil to develop into mature persons who are able to achieve harmonious integration of religion and life.
Inculcate respect for all religions.
Help the pupil to discover and realize their own goals in life.

Activities done in this Sector in the past Three years
Seminars conducted on Preventive system for the staff.
Value education & Human right education is made compulsory for our schools.
Seminar conducted for the Headmasters on Human Right Education and Administrative skills.
Teaching Catechism by all the Salesians & Catholic Teachers who are involved in educational ministry is made compulsory.
New recruits (Teaching staff) are given inputs on Preventive system of Education.
Regular meetings of the Commission and Sector are conducted in the past three years.
Initiative was taken for the documentation of the sector activities in province level.
Retreats and seminars were organized in the local level for the staff.
P.T.A animation and regular staff meetings are insisted.
Regular catechism & Moral Classes are insisted in our schools.
Counseling cell is to be established in all our schools and teacher to be trained in student counseling.
Media club and students parliaments are started in some schools.
Groups and movements are followed up in the local level.
Vocational guidance is done through regular follow up by the rector and Vocation Directors are invited to talk to the students.
Career guidance is given with the help of Vazhikkatti department.
Past pupils unit is made to function effectively.
The Salesians and teaching staff give regular assembly talks to students. (Value based)

Training for the class leaders of our schools on leadership.( Province level)
P.T.A to be animated on Preventive system in human right perspective.(Local level)
Vocations to be promoted to our congregation.
Counseling cells to be started in all our schools.
