Don Bosco mission at Therespuram was started in 2001. It aims in serving the chosen people, especially the young people with the aim of forming them into a self reliant community (economically, socially, politically uplifted and caring communities) by basing ourselves on the signs of the times.

Goals of the Institution:

1. Education and motivation of coastal communities towards better planning and management. To cut cast on alcoholism, gambling and borrowing.

2. Youth with higher education and higher technical skills that ensure adequate economical income and appreciate quality of life in their future.

3. Better health, sanitation and environment

2. Objectives of the Instittution

  1. To increase the family income in the locality through appropriate IGP ventures.
  2. To educate through awareness programmes to develop habit of effective financial management and savings.

  4. To provide motivation and opportunities for de-addiction and  treatment against substance use and gambling and thus safeguard hard earned income of the family.

Programs towards the self reliant community which are economically, socially, politically uplifted.

Creation of a sense of sharing and caring in the communities.

Rehabilitation of 50 child labor and to do away with the moral evils such as drug addiction, drinking, gambling, drug trafficking, immoral living and rectification of Marriages.

Forming youth groups for 100 youth, who are economically, politically, socially and spiritually motivated – Friends of Police, Blood donors. Creating platforms for inter – religious dialogues.

Education of all the children. (Total education and Total literacy) nearly 200 children.
