We share an mission with the Candidates, Aspirants, Students, Staff, Parents and the people of the neighbourhood in order to educate responsible life long learner to posses the skills, knowledge, creativity social responsibility and ethical and gospel values. Thus gaining a quality education world in turn form them (students, staff, parents, salesian co – operators, past pupils, local youth) as active and committed agents to work for total literacy and perpectualize the process of educating the young.

Mission

The Don Bosco society of Thanjavur, following the teachings and the preventive system of Don Bosco, gives the best quality education to the Primary, Higher Secondary, Post Higher Secondary Students to import skills, knowledge, creativity and social responsibility ethical and Gospel values. This task is accomplished through Apostolic School, Higher Secondary School and Study Centres by able partnership of Salesians, Teachers, Parents, Aspirants, PHS, Co – operators and the Past Pupils who are integral part of the Salesian family. Thus gaining a quality education will form efficient and indigenous leadership, effective co-workers and powerful local interested group for the will to perpectualize the process of educating the young.

Activities

1. Primary and matriculation higher secondary schools with preference to oppressed community children.
2. Evening study centres to provide special coaching to improve the academic achievements of the oppressed community children.
3. Dropout prevention centre provides bridge course and assist them in mainstreaming.
4. Prison ministry provides counseling to inmates and rehabilitation assistance to released prisoners.
