MIGRANT YOUTH ON FOCUS AT TIRUCHY  by Array
    Tiruchy, Feb. 8. 2018 A day of animation and celebration was arranged at Don Bosco Nest Tiruppur on 04 February 2018 in the Province of Tiruchy.
    As it is a known fact that Tiruppur, an industrial city of Tamilnadu - India, is filled with young boys and girls from various states, stepping in for job opportunities. The city embraces all of them providing them with various jobs mainly in garments and textiles sections. At the same time these youngsters certainly need support and guidance as there are very many exploiting situations that could stress them.
    Don Bosc Nest - Tiruppur, has taken great efforts to identify, organize and uphold these youngsters in their working places and living areas. Besides all the hurdles inherent in this ministry for migrant youth, DB Nest gathered 350 young boys and girls (Migrants) in the campus for a day of animation together with enticing games and cultural programmes.
    Father Xavier Michael SDB, the director welcomed the youngsters and made them feel at home. Father Francis Bosco SDB and Father Patrick SDB of INM province, animated the young on becoming good persons and honest citizens. They also spoke about the preventive system of Don Bosco and the mission of the Salesians for the welfare of the young. Father Saveriyer OCD was kind enough to be present for the whole day programme and helped in the translation of the messages to the youngsters. Father Herwin SDB made all the arrangements for this event. Father Arulkumar SDB, the director of Tiruppur migrant Desk, coordinated the events of the day together with his staff. It was a great gesture of support on the part of the company owners to be present for the function and promising to send the youngsters to DB Nest for regular animations and recreations.
    It was indeed a great day as the migrant youth expressed their sense of gratitude as they felt that they are loved, listened and accompanied.
