|Foundation Day of the Salesian Province of Tiruchy by Array|
|The Province had its beginning 18 years ago with the Slogan `Vilimbugal Mayamaaga` (let the periphery become the centre) extending its service to the poor and marginalized young people of the society.|
Fr. Antony Joseph, the Provincial invited all the confreres, on this great occasion, to remember and thank the Lord for all the Blessings showered on the Province, for the tremendous growth that has taken place in the Province and to be grateful to St. John Bosco, the founder and Our Lady of Annai Vailankanni, the Province Patroness, for journeying along the way.
The celebration took place in Thanjavur, where the Salesians first reached India in 1906. Rev. Fr. Gnanapragasam, the Vicar General of the Diocese, the Vicar Forane, the Parish priest, the Salesian Family, friends and well wishers joined and added grace to the celebration.
On this solemn occasion, the province celebrated the Diamond Jubilee of the Religious Profession of Father Mathew Orathel and the Golden Jubilee of the Religious Profession of Fathr John Madasseril. The Jubilarians were felicitated and honoured during the function. It was a day of joy and thanksgiving.
